17.2hh Clydesdale X Riding Gelding
17.2hh heavyweight gelding x Clydesdale. Loves hacking but can be nappy alone, prefers company. He's 100% bombproof in the heaviest of traffic. Has very mild arthritis which he's had for 2 years and not got any worse in both fore legs so can't jump. He's 12 years old and needs 24/7 grazing which we haven't got. He can do fun rides and can canter and gallop but working in a small arena is no good for him or tight circles so no schooling really.
He has been out on loan and was neglected. He's on the mend now he is in a field and his weight is near normal now. He needs to be kept shod in front and is on no medication.
Has years in front of him yet. No time wasters this is hard enough after 10 years of owning him. He will give someone a lot of pleasure. Currently out in a mixed herd, gets on with anything.

Lucky Nipper, 15.3hh Ride and Drive
Lucky Nipper, 11 year old, ex standard bred. Has been with us for the last 5 years and has been a very good servant on and off the track. We stopped him racing because his mind was not on the job any more so was not suitable to race any more. He is the best riding horse I have ever owned and due to my wife falling pregnant we had sent him away to be trained by someone else and the trainer said that he was the best horse he had ridden in 40 years.
He canters, gallops has jumped small jumps, hunted and done long distance riding. A very good confidence giver, we can ride him bare back with just a head collar and lead rope even functioning at 110% in traffic.
This is a very very sad sale, but I’m sure he will make an excellent family horse, only selling due to the need to buy a lorry and also not wishing to see him waste in the field.
